When a Greek shipping company approached us to design a brand identity for its new shipping company, Ionic, we seized the opportunity to take to the high seas.
The handcrafted logotype is reassuringly solid yet dynamic, speaking of strength and industry, while the marque, based on a flag in motion, lends the identity a sense of fluidity and activity. Designed to work on hugely varied scales – from business cards to fleet livery – legibility was key.
The resulting identity successfully portrays the brand as a progressive global venture, with a subtle nod to its Greek heritage thanks to a colour palette that includes crisp, nautical white and Ionian Sea-blue.
